Unfinished Murders

"Unfinished Murders" is a play by Baha Morshedi, staged in July 2019 (Tir 1398) by the "Tajziyeh" (Decomposition) Theatre Group at the Mehregan Theater House in Tehran. This work, centering on the story of missing children and social issues—particularly the issue of child sexual abuse—explores the anxieties and problems of society.

The story revolves around a girl who looks out the window of her house every day, but one day she disappears. Alongside this main story, the narrative examines five women grappling with daily problems and the monotony of life, each facing a tragic fate. This play combines comedy and tragedy, attempting to play with the concept of death in order to take a fresh and witty look at it. The haunting atmosphere of the work is created by the "unfinished" murders, which leave the audience in doubt as to whether they have actually occurred.
